Hi there, we are Krzysztof and Andrzej but our friends call us Kris and Andrew or simply, Pierogi Boys. In 2005 we moved from Poland (Poznań and Wrocław respectively) to New York. We found an apartment in a quiet and unknown neighborhood of Ridgewood Queens.

Over the years, our friends kept asking us for pierogi recommendations in New York and we simply couldn't honestly recommend a place that would serve them the way they deserve to be served: made freshly, by hand, from scratch, using quality ingredients. So we started throwing "pierogi parties" at home. We'd make the dough and fillings, and we'd assemble them with friends to finish the night with a feast!

And then, in 2016, an opportunity to open a kiosk in Brooklyn's largest food hall presented itself... and after much consideration, we took it. We opened in 2017 in DeKalb Market Hall in Downtown Brooklyn and we've been serving pierogi, kiełbasa, borscht and Polish beer there ever since.

We immediately started to search for a space for a brick and mortar in our neighborhood. We visited dozens of spaces but nothing felt right. Until, in the midst of the pandemic, we were shown 57-34 Catalpa Avenue. It was much too big for the small, corner restaurant that we had in mind, but there was something about the space that felt like it's the one.

It took 4 long years to get all the necessary permits and complete the construction, and finally on September 3, 2025 we opened the long awaited cafe, restaurant and market!
